CLINTON, Md. – (September 24, 2012) – Nasatka Security President David Natelson announced today that their $20 million order placed in December 2011 with Torrance, CA-based Rapiscan Systems Inc. is complete.

As a subcontractor to Rapiscan, Nasatka Security will provided over 130 mobile barriers, 200 ballistic and blast-rated guard shacks, and 1,200 security device interface (SDI) hardware sets to integrate a variety of new and existing force protection ECP equipment for the U.S. Army. The guard booths were made by Demmer Corporation, a leading defense manufacturer located in Lansing, MI; the SDI hardware was manufactured by Cinch Systems, located in Minneapolis, MN and the mobile barriers were manufactured by Nasatka Security fabrication facilities in MD, PA and MI. One hundred percent of the manufacturing for this program occurred in the USA.

Rapiscan Systems, a division of OSI Systems Inc. was awarded a $98 million order from the U.S. Army last fall for a range of surveillance and screening equipment for Entry Control Point (ECP) non-intrusive inspection requirements in Afghanistan. As a subcontractor to Rapiscan, Nasatka Security provided both mobile barriers and Demmer Corporation’s ballistic and blast-rated guard shacks, and security device interface hardware to integrate a variety of new and existing force protection ECP equipment for the U.S. Army.

Nasatka Security President, David Natelson, said, “Our partnership with Demmer Corporation allowed us to deliver everything needed under our agreement with Rapiscan Systems; especially on such a tight deadline. This joint rapid deployment demonstrates Nasatka Security’s full-service perimeter integration model in the global security space.” In September 2012, Nasatka signed a co-branding agreement with Demmer allowing Nasatka to market a co-branded Nasatka-Demmer ballistic guard shack family of products worldwide.

The Rapiscan-based delivery order stems from a three-year, multi-award, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract valued at $248 million for all delivery orders awarded to Rapiscan and six other companies earlier this year by the U.S. Army.
