Mobile Vehicle Barrier (Towable) 16ft opening

The NMSB XVI is a 16ft clear opening mobile barrier used for severe-threat security areas requiring versatile perimeter protection. The NMSB XVI can be towed behind a standard pickup truck and deployed in under 12 minutes. This unit, standalone and non-anchored is certified to stop a 15,000-pound vehicle traveling at 40 mph. The barrier clear opening is 16 feet. In the up position the top of the barrier is 31″ (78.7 cm) above the road surface.

All Nasatka mobile barriers are hot-dip galvanized for years of service. The hydro-electric operator system uses biodegradable hydraulic oil within it’s self-contained integrated housing unit. Standard barrier deployment time is 3-5 seconds. No weight restrictions are placed on vehicles traveling over this barrier. This barrier does not require excavation thus does not mark or damage the roadway surface. Easy to use leveling feet allow the barrier to be adjusted to site-specific elevations.

Variations of the NMSB XVI Mobile Barrier
• NMSB XVI-M – Manual only, spring-assist operated version of this mobile barrier
• NMSB XVI-P – Portable version of the barrier where the towing function is not included
• NMSB XVI-MAX – A deployment method for the NMSB-XVI family, where four jersey walls weighing a total of 18,000 lbs. are placed behind the buttresses of the barrier.

The NMSB XVI has been successfully crash tested using the ASTM F2656-07 M40 standard, equivalent to K8.
