The NMSB XII-B is an engineer-rated, bolt-down crash-beam designed to stop a 10,000-pound vehicle traveling at 18 mph. It works as a stand-alone system for facilities not requiring K-rated barriers. The NMSB II-B crash beam is ideal for traffic control locations such as parking garages, parking lots, rental car facilities and short/long term airport parking facilities.


Two power options are available:

    • Integrated electric power unit (EPU)
    • Remote electro-hydraulic power unit (HPU)

NMSB XII | DoS K12 Certified Crash Beam Gate

The NMSB XII is DOS K12 L3 certified to stop a 15,000-pound vehicle traveling at 50 mph. The average barrier opening is 10 ft. (3.05 meters). In the up position, the top of the barrier is 32 in. above the ground.

The operator enclosure and beam receiver are hot-dip galvanized for years of service. Standard barrier deployment time is 4 – 10 seconds depending on crash beam length and operator configuration settings. The crash beam can be operated manually using its built-in counterweight system allowing for operation during power failures or hydraulic failures.

Two power options are available:

  • Remote electro-hydraulic power unit (HPU)

NMSB XVX-20 | Mobile Barrier (M40)

The NMSB XVX-20 is a 20ft clear opening mobile barrier used for severe-threat security areas that are frequented by large trucks, construction equipment, and military vehicles.

The barrier clear opening is 20 feet. In the up position the top of the barrier is 36″ above the road surface.

The hydro-electric operator system uses biodegradable hydraulic oil. Standard barrier deployment time is 4-6 seconds. No weight restrictions are placed on vehicles traveling over this barrier.

This barrier does not require excavation thus does not mark or damage the roadway surface. Easy to use leveling feet allow the barrier to be adjusted to site-specific elevations.

Variations of the NMSB-XVX-20 Mobile Barrier

• NMSB XVX-20-P – Portable version of the barrier where the towing function is not included
• NMSB XVX-20-MAX – A deployment method for the NMSB-XV mobile barrier family, where four jersey walls weighing a total of 18,000 lbs. are placed behind the buttresses of the barrier.

The NMSB XVX-20 has been successfully crash tested using the ASTM F2656-07 standard and has a M40 rating, equivalent to K8.

NMSB XVI-P | Relocatable Portable Barrier (M40)

The NMSB XVI-P is a relocatable, portable barrier used for intermediate-threat security areas requiring versatile perimeter protection. The NMSB XV-P utilizes either a crane or forklift for rapid deployment. This unit, standalone and non-anchored is certified to STOP a 15,000-pound vehicle traveling at 40 mph. The barrier clear opening is 16ft. In the up position the top of the barrier is 31″ (78.7 cm) above the road surface.

 

Hot-dip galvanized for years of service. EPA approved self-contained attached housing unit. The standard barrier deployment time is 3-5 seconds. NO weight restrictions. The barrier is normally operated manually, though hydraulic operation is an option. This barrier does not require excavation thus does not mark or damage the roadway surface. The NMSB LT is a single-buttress, bolt down or cast in place barrier for intermediate-threat security facilities. Depending on the installation configuration, NMSB LT is engineer rated to ASTM PU30 or 5000lb pickup truck at 30mph. The average barrier opening is 10′ (3.05 meters). In the up position the top of the barrier is 20″ (50.8 cm) above the road surface. Hot-dip galvanized for years of service. EPA approved, self-contained attached housing unit. Standard barrier deployment time is 3 seconds (available <1 second E-up option) at an average of 10 full cycles per minute. Anchoring system available as either a cast or bolt down. Manual Operation is eased w/o the aid of hydraulics or electrics. NO weight restrictions. Traffic Lights and Gatearms may be integrated within existing buttress(es).

The NMSB III-D is a flush-mount, surface barrier for severe-threat security facilities

The NMSB III-D is a flush-mount, surface barrier for severe-threat security facilities. Flush-mount barriers create no obstacles on existing roadway and are ideal for snowplow passage. The NMSB III-D is DOS K12 L3 certified to stop a 15,000-pound vehicle traveling at 50 mph. The average barrier opening is 10 ft. (3.05 meters). Each barrier is hot-dip galvanized for years of service and includes a NEMA standard, self-contained attached housing unit and/or control panel enclosure.

Standard barrier deployment time is three to five seconds and emergency up (E-UP) is from one to two seconds. Manual operation is provided without the need for hydraulics or power. Integrated traffic lights and gate arms can be ordered with the barrier, providing a comprehensive safety and security system. Clear opening sizes from 8 ft. to 15 ft. are available. Typical power for this barrier is 208v, 3 phase, 50hz or 60hz.
